Film History: Movie to compare to Sunrise (1927)?

Hey, I need to select a film for my comparison essay. The first film I chose was Sunrise. I'm looking for a modern film that would be good to compare it to, so preferably another romantic drama. Thank you

I can think of 3 that are a bit similar to it. Pride & Prejudice, Crimes and Misdemeanors and A Place In The Sun. I think the last one is the most similar to Sunrise but I'm not sure if it counts as a modern film
