How did you feel after stopping your anti depressants?
I think I'm more emotional and I'm really angry a lot. I always have dumb thoughts that make me feel like crying. I've been on sertraline for over 10 years I believe and I'm just tired of having to take it anymore so I weaned myself off

Also if anybody else has dealt with randomly feeling uncomfortable/angry when trying to fall asleep please let me know. It's extremely frustrating and I just get so mad

There are different opinions about the long-term use of antidepressants. Some therapists say that although these drugs are very useful with short-term use, they do not address the problem that led to the patient's depression, which could be a physical illness or unhealthy habits with regard to basic lifestyle. I suggest talking with your doctor to get a referral for a therapist, also learn about the self-help methods that can enhance the results of standard treatment. Your dumb. You should have talked it over with your doctor. Then you would have known what to expect. Instead of coming on here and asking people that don't know nothing. Get back on them and ask your doctor to ween you off on his terms.
Ultimately, I feel much better on as little medicine as possible. I took a number of different antidepressants and mood-stabilizers for more years than I think I should have. They do "work", but for me the benefits were negligible compared to the side-effects. The most common SSRI/SNRI medicines can improve ones whole outlook, but over time they just never seemed to work out, and coming off of a couple of them in particular was a god awful nightmare! All this to say, they do benefit many people so those who are suffering shouldn't rule them out.
You need to talk to your doctor/psychiatrist. Antidepressants get your brain to produce serotonin, which makes you feel good. Now that you've gone off them, you're not producing those anymore. There are other ways- your brain also produces serotonin when you exercise, or do something nice for someone, or hug someone. But you clearly need more. Taking yourself off them is like a diabetic taking themselves off insulin- the results are not likely to be good.
