An exzaggeration or a fact?

I was once told back in 2006 that the world is mostly full of good people generally.

Do you think that is an exzaggeration or a fact?

Last year I witnessed a rollover accident on the freeway right in front of me.  I stopped to assist.  The vehicle was overturned, the occupant was trapped and screaming that he smelled gas and was afraid a fire was going to start.

I was struggling to open the door...and was immediately surrounded by 7 to 8 other guys who had also stopped and were struggling right along with me.  When that occupant began screaming that his truck was going to explode into a ball of fire...NOT ONE of those guys deserted the effort.

After we got the dude out, I stuck around to give a statement to the State Patrol, but everyone else dispersed.  They didn't need to be thanked, they didn't need to be acknowledged, they didn't need to take selfies to post on Facebook.  They'd simply done what needed to be done, and then went on about their business.

So yeah, if the world isn't mostly full of good people, there are still a lot of good people in it.

People are basically good. Just sometimes you need to appeal to that and bring it out of them.

It depends totally on your definition of "good".
