If distributor and power steering fluid and valve cover is leaking, can you still drive your car?

I plan to replace my car soon anyways. But the mechanic wasn't quite clear about travel. he said that in town travel was fine. But is it still okay to drive a 70 mile trip, or a 223 mile trip? These are some trips we're looking at soon.

Go for it. Just bring some extra fluids with you and check the levels when you stop for gas.

No! the power steering can get you by but you'll have to use your own strength to maneuver the car. The distributer will cause misfiring--backfiring. The leaking oil valve cover will lead to a possible engine damage due to losing oil by the time you arrive to your location.

Do not drive the car, have the car towed. Leaking power steering fluid overheating would mean disaster.

With all of those problems, you should buy an AAA membership.  Automobile Club of America supplies tow trucks anywhere needed.

Depends on the severity of the leak...
