A pedophile is someone who is attracted to pre pubescent children.  A person who takes advantage of someone that is 16 on the other hand would be charged with statutory rape.  Those are very different things.

Redefining "pedophile" to include an attraction to sexually matured 16 year old girls does not help your cause at all.  Yes, I agree with your premise about consent.  But let's use the real term.  Those are rapist defenders, not pedophile defenders.
