I don't get why a text saying he'll be home late proves he doesn't listen to you.  Assuming you live together, it's common courtesy to let others know about any changes in routine. There is a difference between not listening and forgetting.

It's courteous to tell your partner when you will be home late regardless of what their schedule is.  

What if you had a dog and neither of you would be home to let it out for a wee?

What if you heard from your neighbor that he came home late without telling you?  Would you think he was sneaking around?

Communication...it's a thing we adults find helpful here in Adultville.

But knowing you, you complain that he doesn't listen and you'd probably complain if he didn't text you about coming home late either.   You're exhausting and I've only had to spend two minutes with you.  Yuck....Show more
