Why due process if someone is CLEARLY guilty?

Who decides he is clearly guilty? Without due process, the decider may rely on his own subjective judgment. Due process is supposed to insure objectivity.

Because that's how we do it in the US.

If they're clearly guilty, then a fair trial by jury and due process will still result in them being convicted.
