Define many.
According to Wikipedia, it's about 105,000-150,000. Israel's population is between 8 and 8.5 million, so it is a noticeable percentage from an Israeli standpoint. However, MANY other nations have far more ex-patriots in our nation, and their presence is seen far more than the Israelis'. If you go by Israel's definition of many, then I'd say yes; but, by the United States' version, my answer will change to a no.
Many Israelis are in the United States because Israel, while a successful and thriving nation, is small and that can limit opportunities for many talented people. For example, the United States has one Nobel from an Israeli who moved here because he couldn't get tenure as a professor in Israel, the competition was that fierce.
