Does Texas care if people get covid and end up hospitalized ?

They opened a stadium and had a baseball game, making it easy for people to spread covid and get infected

At least they try and cure them. In New York they get stuffed into nursing homes and left to die.

They have a border with Mexico that they can use as the reason for any uptick in Covid cases. This allows them to look like heroes for ending restrictions, gives them another target to blame for increased cases (Mexico) and provides another way to tie Covid issues to the Democrats (by claiming that Biden's border policies are causing a flood of infected refugees to enter the U.S.).

Texas made a bet that the vaccinations would proceed quickly enough to avoid a new surge in cases.  Seeing as how the number of new cases per day is down about 50% over the last month and 75% over the last two, it looks like that bet is paying off.

And yet Texas has fewer cases per capita than New York and a lot fewer deaths per capita than New York.  Time to give Gov. Cuomo another medal?

Nope! their Governor, just like AZ's and FL's only care about giving businesses the boost they need, even if it cost American lives.
