Lol.... I forgot the fizzdude (sorry reading answers)
Earlier memory was when it first started...... There was a core group of us... around 50 who started on polls and surveys after accidently clicking something or another... and we stayed there for the next few years...... We had so much fun... we also had a social media page called Yahoo 360 where we socialised and made our bonds strong. We played on Yahoo games together..... Yes pool and cards.... You must remember this predated Facebook, Twitter, etc etc...... MySpace was a thing but it was clunky ......
Soon came more people and some of us got quite a following.....we were the pioneers..... Yahoo thought they would encourage people to report their neighbours basically and folks started reporting anything that wasn't to their taste..... Be it funny, innocent.... Serious....sad.... Honestly they reported everything.... Spiteful really..... We all got suspended over and over again......it made people leave..... They closed 360 and Yahoo games..... They changed the format..... Slowly as all of us mostly adult folk left or were suspended one to many times the right wing and the more perverted moved in..... You must remember we were not like this at first.... We were cheeky yes.... But friendly.... Open minded.... Funny.... And we kept the nasties out with our majority..... When we all left it went to chit.......
Honestly Google sharky or jimbo, uncle buk or any of the old legends and you will see the kind of fun we used to have here......
This was my playground..... Not been here for several years now.....but once I ruled the roost...... Once I got a hundred answers a question..... I loved folks..... Laughed with folks... cried over folks and made friends from all over the world from all different backgrounds.... Young and old..... That's what the internet was about back then..... Now these right wing, transphobic, homophobic, racist, vile spouting humans seem to be every single where....but that's what happens when you allow cowardly anonymous answers
In my day 'trolling' wasn't a bad word...... We trolled for days..... Trolls were the fun ones.... The ones with goofy questions and answers and soft hearts..... We just wanted to spread smiles and make friends...... Innocence lost .... THATS what I miss... the pranks, the jokes, the harmless fun... and the strong social circle we had
