What do you think of my writing?
Too many times and too often, I found that the younger generation has a poor communication skills.
It is not just in conversation but in corporate environment that these young adults in early 20s do not know how to write a formal business letter.
You dont write a business letter with "Hi" or "Good morning". You write a business letter to a company with "To (Company name), Attn: Mr. John Lee"....... And at the end with "Thank you for your kind attention".
What is the cause of this poor communication skills? Lack of daily conversation face to face. Young adults are relying too much on the Internet and Mobile Phones. They simply chat exchanging text messages with a chat App such as Whatsap or Tweeter.
When you chat with text message, you cannot see the expression of the person whom you are chatting with. Emojis dont give enough expression and the writing are most often times are being shortened.
This has been going for too long and it has to be revised.....
