Is Vanguard University (Southern California) a good university?

I’m looking to major in environmental science and take a pre-law minor. I’m having a hard time coming to a conclusion about VUSC because the reviews are so mixed.

In addition to VUSC I’ve also been accepted to Azusa Pacific, University of the Pacific, La Sierra, Mount Saint Mary’s, Northern Arizona, and North Dakota state. I’m waitlisted for Point Loma. I’ve just been leaning towards VU for it’s coursework and location.

I've never heard of it, and I've been in education for a long time. It sounds like a for-profit university-- never a good idea. Have you been accepted anywhere else?
