Why the first amendment doesn't apply to Yahoo shutting down answers or shutting down the comment section?

Yahoo shutting down answers or comments isn't a first amendment issue as some think. The problem comes down to the first amendment and thinking a companies
like Yahoo or Facebook would not have terms of services to "protect themselves"
and in the end it doesn't matter they are a private company and can ban someone
or remove comments at will if it draws to much negative attention. Or even google red flagging conservative sites or removing sites from the search engine during the elections to help democrats.

Businesses have a right to protect their image. The constant forum violations were trashing that image. YA made a management decision in it's best interest.
It's the same story. Say whatever you want and don't be surprised by the consequences. Words matter. People breached TOS. Victims have rights too. If decency ruled the day, the self-regulated forum experiment could have worked.
No one w/ adequate education/intelligence thinks they can say whatever they want w/o consequences. Lack of maturity strongly contributed to the YA demise.

The First Amendment doesn't apply to anyone but Congress. It clearly states "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech".

Yahoo is privately owned, the first amendment doesn't apply. If it did, the Jehovah's Witnesses could sue you for not letting them into your home to talk to you.
