Millennials happened to be the generation on the cusp of the "new economy" when nearly overnight many college majors became irrelevant to the job market. When you're already in student loan debt and nearing the end of your soft sciences or liberal arts program its a huge slap in the face to be told to either learn to code or go pour coffee for the rest of your life. Universities should have to be more transparent about the real world prospects of some of the programs they offer so incoming students have a better idea of the degree-to-workplace pipeline.
