If God is so great, why didn't it kill Satan from the beginning?
The only way I would give god a pass is if it let this happen because of allowing "free will" The only good explanation is that God doesn't force anything on anyone and allows you complete freedom to choose whatever side. To choose good or evil.
I was tryna come to a conclusion as to why god would create this mess and allow an evil force. Why allow satan to do continue to do what it does. The only justification I could find for it was because of the universal law of "free will" Otherwise, god should have already destroyed evil from the very beginning and allowed no more evil. No more pain. No more negativity. Just a pure existence filled with only love
I just don't know why god would create the devil and allow this mess to go on. But if the answer is because "the law of free will" Then it's a good thing but bad as well. It's bad because evil can thrive anywhere but free will is good, for myself, because I don't feel tied down or enslaved. Free will means that I have the ultimate power of creating my reality and creating my own fate.

The logic of such a question leads to the idea that, if God would crush Satan at the start, then He should also crush every individual who (like Satan) rebels against God and challenges His right, as Creator, to do with His creatures as He wills. That would mean your instant destruction, the moment you chose to voice your contempt of God. And any God who would smash opposers in an instant, without giving them a fair hearing, or chance to prove they were right, and He was wrong, would be a despot.
So, one of the very reasons why God is so great, is that He does not instantly snuff out those who disagree with Him. That ought to make you very happy, and think more highly of God than you do. Simple logic, that.
Satan is not a name, but a description. I say this because we're not told who he is. He sunk so low, he had his name removed.
God is love. Righteous. Those two attributes don't kill what is hurtful. Until! There's a point when God deals eternally with it.
It has to do with Salvation, with all those God saves to be born, come to the Lord, be saved.
As one person put it, what is 'free' is 'free WON'T' not free will. The NT says 'to those who received Jim's... So 'free WON'T' was operating.
To receive Him, God offers it. Only God knows the heart; often we don't always know it.
The devil devolved. Just as people change, so spirits may change.
We'll find satan has connections to those who could come to Jesus: these people must see satan properly, drop this connection. Satan is a god, has seed(offspring). Jesus spoke of it.
I see your confusion. It is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie. So, God is righteous, love, just and so on.
We also read of the mystery of iniquity: we have enough in our lives and some things, like he'll are not explained. I speak about scripture.
First up, if bible god created everything it also created satan. Its bible gods idea and part of its plan "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.". Isaiah 45:7
