Salazar, bacalhau and port wine, that they were the first Europeans to engage in the slave trade as well as the first to ban slavery, and even though I know nothing of football/soccer I know the name Cristiano Rinaldo.  Oh, and that Lisbon predates Rome and that Brazil speaks Portuguese.

not much but i was born in uruguay which was a nice place, it might be similar to portugal

it is west on the Iberian peninsula.  The language is considered a Romance language.  They are slightly different than Spanish speakers.  I never did learn why there are two separate countries.
