I have a question about losing weight, please help.?

Ok, I really want to lose weight. I've been losing weight, but it's coming off very very slowly, and every time I start my period, I gain water weight and THAT takes over a week to come off. Do you think that doing the master cleanse lemonade for 10 days will work, and I'll be able to keep the weight off if I was really careful, or should I just buy some exercise equipment? I weigh about 290, and I want to lose some weight by the end of this year, but I don't want it to take forever to come off. I didn't take forever to put it on lol, but it seems to take too long to come off. What should I do? I really want to do the cleanse since it cleans you out, but people keep saying the weight will come back once you get off of the cleanse.

Cleanses are a waste of time/money. As long as you have a period, you'll have fluid gain/loss. Nothing you can do about that. Besides, what you want is fat loss. Remember, the slower you lose the better chances you'll be able to maintain the loss. Eat as clean as possible (avoid processed foods), and be active to burn some extra calories. To help reduce fluid retention, limit your sodium intake and drink plenty of (plain) water.

God designed our bodies so that what we eat is used to nourish the cells that grow skin, bone, hair, fingernails, etc. Your body takes what it needs and excretes what it doesn't.

Hunger is the sign to you that your body is running out of fuel. If you feed it bad things, your hunger will increase because you aren't giving it what it needs to sustain itself. You'll be constantly hungry but never getting what you need and you won't have the energy to do anything. It's a vicious circle.

Sugar is nutritionless poison. Cut it out completely and stop buying anything in a package because they put it in everything you eat specifically to get you addicted to their products. Use honey instead (no chemicals!).

Every day your body also needs a certain amount of fat intake. Taking in more than you need automatically stored as fat. To get rid of the fat you have to stop taking it in altogether TEMPORARILY so you body can use up its fat reserves. When you attain the weight you want to be, you can go back to eating fats, but only the daily limit. The icecream cone you ate ten years ago is still on your thigh. Stop eating dairy products until you are at your ideal weight.

Eat as much protein, veg, grains and fruits as you like. These are what your body needs now. Drink small amounts of water with meals to aid digestion. Too much and you dilute the gastric juices that break down your food.

And chew your food well... it is part of the digestive process.

Lack of food didn't cause boredom, so food cannot cure it. Stop using food as a form of entertainment or pleasure. As a matter of fact, stop seeking pleasure like it's the purpose for your existence. Stop yourself from over-indulging. And don't eat while doing anything else... just enjoy the meal. If you get hungry in between... eat well ripenned fruit. If your stomach bothers you from eating raw veg... cook them (roasted or boiled, etc.). Some nutrients are better than none.
