1 Answer2 weeks agoShould I do do a tab of LSD before my guests arrive?
I'm holding a little vaccinated-people-only cook-out at my chateau in Santa Monica, and usually during my shindigs, we'll throw on some top 40s from the 2010s, 2020s, and today, we'll eat entire cubes of caviar, chant "USA" for three hours, and listen to Steve Jackson himself wax philosophical about the moral quandary facing Truman during the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. But this time, I was wondering if I should put a tab of LSD on my tongue before they get here, just so I can be in a psychedelic state of mind right off the bat, ready to posit and contemplate. Sometimes I'm not "far out" enough when my guests arrive- if that makes sense. So, that's the question, ladies and gents. Do I or don't I? Thanks for the advice, y'all. :)
1 Answer2 weeks agoWhen were your good ol' days, and why were they so good?
With this legendary site shutting down soon, all the drama this side of the century, and the edge lords having fun with hilariously stupid questions, I figured I would ask something wholesome if people want to share some little stories from their life.
Rest in piece Yahoo Answers, it's the end of an internet era for many of us.
1 Answer2 weeks agoMy roommate is so loud what do I do?
We live in 2 studios separated by a thin wall. She brings her boyfriend home at night and makes a lot of noise. I'm a student it's very difficult and she knows this, in the beginning she was considerate but now I feel like she hates me! I'm scared to tell her anything and I've been letting her walk all over me but it's getting too far! She is really aggressive and her boyfriend brags about hitting and abusing girls so I'm afraid to confront them at night. I want to cry. My landlord knew her before I moved in and she told me that she's the sweetest person, I feel so betrayed!
2 Answers2 weeks agoDo you have more in common with a child now or a child you grew up with as a child ?
The child now shares 2020 and 2021 with you but doesn’t have the past years you have
The child you grew up with is your childhood environment but doesn’t know anything that happened since you grew out of that
2 weeks agoAre African-Americans annoyed at how many times the defense for Chauvin keeps showing the footage of Floyd resisting arrest?
Can you imagine the point of view of black people? Seeing the footage of Floyd resisting arrest for the 100th time and wondering "Why do they keep having to show that over and over!!?" Wouldn't you get really aggravated by that if you were black? Doesn't it seem to point to some sort of agenda on the part of white people?
2 weeks agowhy do scottish people do this online?
they basically type using the slang they would speak in. It's basically like "aye ah ken ah dinny ken sake aye ken braw aye yeh ken wee giril" ah canney day thut ken." And if I come across that while browsing I don't even bother to try and read it.
Virtually every country and city has their own dialect, but (certainly nowhere near the same extent) you don't see people from England using a local slang term every 2nd word in every single sentence. For some reason anyone who isn't scottish is able to type online using mostly English words without forcing in so much local slang.
Are scottish people just so desperate for the rest of the world to recognise their text as "scots" so everyone else can go "omg that person must be scottish!". it does seem desperate and sad
