Where should we take our vacation in northern Spain?

We want to travel to northern Spain at the end of June, and will be taking our 2.5 year-old. We're looking for a nice place on the water (not sure if Bay of Biscay is better than the Atlantic coast).

My friend went to Bilbao and loved it. She really enjoyed the food there, and visiting the Guggenheim.

Bilbao is a nice city and the food is great but you should really go to San Sebastian. Its a beautiful city, and if you are looking for a nice place on the water, San Sebastian is the place!!!!

Santander (Cantabria) es una ciudad preciosa, además de los atractivos que podeis encontrar en el interior de la comunidad, como ya os han dicho, los picos de Europa que limitan con Asturias. En Asturias no dejeis de visitar los lagos de Covadonga.

Besos (and have a nice trip)

East coast of Asturias is really nice, near Ribadesella, good food, beaches, nice people and of course you have Picos de Europa at hand.

Another good place is the region of "Picos de Europa" if you like mountains and good food in Cantanbria and Asturias, there are a lot of little villages with cows, etc... It is a very good place to go.

You must visit 'Galicia' (Galician Country) in the NorthWest of Spain: fantastic landscapes, Santiago of Compostela cathedral, Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James), its people, food..

Galicia is a beautiful spanish region...
