she gets off at the second stop because because it is easier to walk downhill than uphill. the building would be placed on a hill.

There is a barrier between the company and the first stop that does not exist between the company and the second stop--a river, a highway, whatever.
The right word (sorry, it's reflexive) is "farther," which indicates distance.

what lady said, or theres a road between the second stop and her company whereas there isnt one from the first stop to her building...
