Strange Reaction..???
Susan and David have been in love for years and are really close. One day he had a business trip to China so she dropped him off and waited till he boarded the 5:30 flight from New York to Peking. Afterwards she returned home and decided to sit back and enjoy a movie. Half an hour into the movie, it was interrupted with a news flash about a plane crash of the 5:30 flight from New York to Peking with no survivors. Even though Susan loved David so much nonetheless she continued watching the movie happily. How come?
Lady: Close but not exactly...
Hint: David did not die as a result of the crash. However, he was on the 5:30 for the total duration of the flight...

His job is an actor and the movie she was watching was the one he was in and then in the movie was 5:30 flight from NY to Peking that had crashed. so he wasn't really going to China. It was all in the movie.

He boarded the flight then decided he couldn't stand going to China and leave Susan home alone ... so he got off the plane and went home with her to watch the movie.

news flash was of the 5.30 am flight and not the 5.30 pm flight. Um, david was a suicide bomber? Um, they just broke up and she was going to commit suicide anways. She threw a bomb in his luggage to kill him cuz she was jealous or something...It was a different flight but still same time and destination....

Another possibility is that he flew out of JFK and the LaGuardia flight crashed.
