Would Oprah Winfrey be a good President?

Better than the one we have now.

I don't think Oprah will even consider running. She is a double minority. Black and female. There has never been a black or female president and by the answers to this question so far, there never will be. Unless of course Condi Rice decided to run.

Oprah has, however, urged Tom Hanks to run for the Presidency, which he would win, of course, because he is a celebrity. She also has shown support for local Chicago's Baraka Bomma. He might win, but with the country in the hands of rapid conservatives, I would be surprise to see him live to see a second term.

No, she would not. She doesn't have the temperament to be president. Plus, there is nothing in it for her. She makes a ton of money already, is independent, does what she wants, doesn't have to worry about what different groups think about her.

This is not to say she isn't a good person or anything, as I think she is a great person who makes a great contribution as a philanthropist and TV personality. But wouldn't make a great president.

if it were up to popular vote she would probably get elected and there is no doubt she is a great humanitarian however she lacks the ability to make desisions that will end peoples lives. Desisions that the leaders of the free world have to make on a daily basis.
