American Meals?

I am not familiar with American food but know macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes. What other foods would be considered American?

Anything Cajun...red beans and rice, gumbo, you go to the south and that's where you'll find the heart of American cooking. Everyhting is made with love and lots of butter!!! You can't beat fluffy buttermilk busquits with sausage gravy for rib-stickin' goodness. Fried chicken with mashed potates and gravy, corn-on-the-cob slathered w/ butter, green beans w/ bacon, homemade buttered bread. Man, I'm getting hungry!

there isn't any unmarried one classic American meal, except per chance floor maize and sparkling wild activity. Serve what you cook dinner properly and what you get exhilaration from. i'd provide 'em smoked barbecued ribs, myself, yet even so you might purchase at Outback Steak abode. inspite of you settle on, serve it with a good California wine and American craft brew beer. thankfully, Aussie's are not to any extent further pretentious kinds...a sturdy dinner is judged with the help of the established of the organization you get exhilaration from it with. Have a blast.

Just about anything that is cooked on a grill could be considered "American" food.

I think the term "American" food should refer more to the style it was cooked than what you are eating.
