    mathematically 11. (there may be more now, but since i last read, 11) they dont exactly have names - like "earl" - but if you can't do the math, then knowing the names makes no sense. other wise, say 4. width, height, distance and time. all you are ever likely to encounter.

    or do you know and you just wanna see how many other people do too? :D

    There are currently four known dimensions. Three spacial dimensions and one in time. Some theories such as string theory predict the existance of more, but it's a THEORY and there is no proof for the existance of these extra dimensions.

    but thescientists are using three dim space

    btu einstein favoured four dinensional space the x,y,z and time coordinate

    the new theory the string theory is using the ten dimensional space
