First Emo Band?

I do not mean bands like My Chemical Romance or The Used or Senses Fail, these bands are pop-rock. I mean the real good old-fashioned emo, like Fugazi, Sunny Day Real Estate, or Rites of Spring. Anyway, which one was first?

Edit: The reason Fugazi and Sunny Day Real Estate are listed above is because some people say that those bands are a progression of emo.

    how dare u put Fugazi i the category of Emo shame on u

    im jus kidding but id say they were punk the singer of fugazi was the singer for minor threat i think
