Has anyone heard of Botox injections providing relief to migraine sufferers?

I have just been put on medication for migraines and I have had several people tell me to try Botox as an alternative. I am wondering if anyone has tried this and what your results are. Thank You

Update:

I am looking for people in the medical field that have information on this as well.

    very comprehensive information available here:

    a summary:

<<When many people hear the words Botulinum Toxin, the first thing they think of is botulism, an often fatal form of food poisoning. Botulism is caused by some strains of Clostridium botulinum, bacteria that is generally found in badly canned foods. In recent years, however, scientists have discovered that a certain strain of Clostridium botulinum can safely be used as a drug to prevent migraine attacks.>>

So have you tried traditional western meds for it? Imitrex works for my migraines wonderfully, as does maxalt. also I find I get them b/c of allergies so taking zyrtec helps too.
