If you're in California I know that there are other types of Financial Aid. I've heard FASFA has to do with Federal Funding but there is also State Funded programs like EOPS (extended oportunities....
). There are also scholarships...tons of them..the best thing is to make an appt. with a counselor at your school and ask them...they'll know the websites and all of those things.

Most schools have individual endowments/scholarships that you can apply for en masse. For example, St Cloud State University has millions of dollars invested and they use the earnings from those investments to help students attend SCSU who may now be able to have attended due to financial burden or to lure the very smart to the school.
Go to the college's financial aid office and ask the mfor further help.

depends on a lot of factors. it is not equal for everyone. it depends on where you live and your background. I would search local and private grants. try fastweb.com.
