what does "maurin quina" mean? not sure if it's french or italian.?

It is french. If it's the poster I am thinking of, it's the one with the green demon holding the bottle, and it's an advertising poster from probably the 1920's. Maurin is the brand name, and Quina is the beverage, a type of quinine water. Quinine is a substance extracted from a South American tree that is used to treat the symptoms of malaria, and quinine water, or tonic water, came into being when the British started using it to treat their troops for malarial symptoms. They found out that it was easiest to dose the troops if the stuff was put into sparkling water, and it became a popular beverage. If I am not mistaken, the poster also has a city name and "France" on it, which is just where the Murin Quina was bottled.
