Who would you rather be and why? Paris Hilton or Michelle Kwan?

Although it would be neat to be able to ice skate like that (Kwan is amazing!), I think I'd rather be Paris Hilton (of course, I'm a guy, so I'd become Patrick Hilton ;). The reason: I would be fabulously wealthy, and since my money is coming from the income of one of the world's largest and most respected hotel chains, my revenue stream wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. That would mean I wouldn't have to work, per se, and could instead use my time and fortune for good use. Besides parties and things, I could afford to go to the best universities, and travel to the top museums for personal enrichment. And since I would never need to worry about actually having a job, I could take courses and study things that I actually WANT to do without worrying about being on a '4 year plan' (it sounds nerdy, but I know there are a lot of college students out there who are secretely nodding their heads). Besides that, I could use all of that money to fund and found charities. I could use my influence among the elite echelons of society to get social issues I care about addressed seriously, or to shed media attention on them. CNN and Fox would probably pay more attention if I said something, than some poor college kid on a soap box on the quad. I also think it would be cool to walk into a Super Wal Mart with an army of volunteers from the county food kitchen, and have them just clear out the shelves, as much as they needed. Or every year pick a random university and then pay for the books for every student for the fall semester/trimester as a publicity stunt for a charity or cause. Having money wouldn't be everything, but if I could help some people out, well then that's fine with me.

Michelle Kwan. She's so much more deserving of her fame and prestige.
