I can't access the time & date properties in Systray to change the time. Any solutions please?

From my System tray, I double-clicked the "time icon" and noticed it's inactive in that i want to adjust the time; the time display continually counts though. Right-clicked the "time icon" & selected "adjust date/time" & I was expecting a new window where the "clock" would appear but nothing really happens. Open my "control panel" & double-clicked "date, time, language & regional options" then clicked, double-clicked on "change date and time" to no avail. Any help to alter my time on system tray is truly appreciated.

I have Windows XP Pro version 2002, service pack 2. Thank you.

If the above doesn't work, it means you don't have Administrator rights on the computer. If this is a shared home computer, you'll need to find the account that Admin. You may be able to see this by going to Control Panel and then User Accounts. If its at work, you may not be able to adjust it at all.

Double click the time in your system tray. When the window opens, click on either the hours, minutes or seconds and they will turn blue. Now click the up or down arrows just to the right of the time to increase or decrease the time. That should do it.
