Why are guys expected to pay for a date ? Is dating a concession for a guy and not for the gurl?

I can understand that in past men worked and women took care of home but things have changed now. Ain't it right?

for traditions sake?! then, for tradition sake, we should have remained monkeys in trees...

i think that in a world where women (justly) want to be equal to men, they should accept not only the rights but also the disadvantages. i'm looking forward for a girl who'll pay my dinner (though i won't hold my breath for that to happen :)))

When I'm with a guy, I like to take him out on a date sometimes. I like to actually pick him up, make him choose the place, pay for the dinner, movie, whatever we choose to do. Tradition says that men pay. I agree in tradition for many things, but I also agree that its ok to take your guy out on a date also.

Men have more testosterone and because of that, their sex drive is higher in average than that of women. To make things worse, society has evolved to increase this natural advantage for women, allowing them to dress in clothes that stimulate more men's fantasy, and stablishing principles that only benefit women.

This explotaitiono of the male sex drive is going to continue forever. The only way around it is to refuse to pay for dates.

When i go out with a new girl, we go Dutch(everybody pays for their own). If we start going out, i'll pay for stuff because I want to. But if you want to spend time with me, you have to start by showing you want to spend time with ME, and not just that you're looking for a free dinner.

for tradition sake i guess. but i think that whoever invited who should pay the date... so since it's usually the guys who invites the ladies then they should pay.
