The simple answer is that cockroaches are mainly nocturnal, and will run away when exposed to light. A peculiar exception is the Oriental cockroach which is attracted to light, thus making it a far more annoying pest. Roaches are called the custodians of nature. They only live in houses where there are crumbs to eat or the garbage can is uncovered. They lay eggs inside the house's hollow walls.

Haven't you herd freak come out at night.LOL Let's begin a roach comes out when it's safe too. If you clean your cuberts out, on the edges you can use roach jell and roach motels under any appliance.I had the same problem when I moved in my apartment. You may want to check if you have any cracks on the walls and seal them. You might want to spray some roach spray on the back of your stove and fridge, not to close. They due have the Raid purple/pink bottle, dont smell so bad.Getting rid of the roach eggs will help alot due to how many roaches come from one egg. Also if you rent like I do call the Health Department and just by one live roach they see, they will have the landloard or manager get your place fumigated.Sorrrry thats all the advice I can give you.
