I have a Dell Latitude. I am trying to charge it but it won't charge. The green light is on.Any ideas?

    if you got it used. then the batt is dead. if you got it new ans under 2 years. then i would also have you systemboard checked out. some dells systemboard for laptop came from compal systems. that did make systemboard that where bad contacts that charge the batt.

    Could be that the battery that is not holding a charge.

    Remove the battery and press a grey dot on the side above the Dell label. The battery will light 1-5 green LED'ds, depending on the battery charge.

    The battery is dead!

    When I got my refurbished one off of Dell Financial on eBay, my battery was dead when I got it. You can check to see if the battery is charging in setup. You can also check on the side of the battery by pressing the button and see if any lights light up.
