YES, it's definatley worth the risk. Motherhood is the most rewarding (and challenging) job you will ever have!
Of course talk to your doctor...then go for it!

Yes, and no-so many women are waiting until later in life to start their families, and usually everything works out just fine. But, there is an increased risk of infertility the longer you wait, there are also risk factors that go up and up every year you get older, like "Down's Syndrome". But, if you get pregnant, you will want to be followed by a "OB/GYN Specialist", who specializes in older womens pregnancies. You will be watched like a hawk, and am quite sure at some point they will want to do an amniocentesis on you (gathering of amniotic fluid from the uterine sack around the baby), to make sure the baby is fine. Sometimes, that procedure can throw you into pre-term labor, and you may have to be on bedrest the rest of your pregnancy. But even still, you should do just fine, what I told you previous are some of the worst case scenarios. Good luck to you!

Talk to your doctor my sister in law had a healthy baby girl at 39, she was labeled high risked only because of other health issues. I'm sure you shouldn't have any problems. I want to have one more and I'll be 33 this year and some people(family and friends, what do they really know) say you are too old to have a baby but I don't think so.

You increase your chance for birth defects greatly. But you could still have a healthy child. Why not adopt? There are so many babies who need the love of a mother and will never know it.

without knowing your health history, i would reccomend that you talk to your ob/gyn about the risks.
