gift or loan?
ok so this guy gave me about 4 grand over a 2 week time frame after he won a large settlement. now that his settlement is gone he wants it bak. i didnt ask for it and he never said here im loaning you this money he always offered it and i took it. should i give it back or keep it? i dont think i should give it back

You shouldn't have to give it back. Especially since there were no stipulations upon acceptance of the money. Even if he decided to go to court over it, states requires that loans if over a certain dollar amount be in written contract form.

If you did not sign a promissory note and you did not ask for the money, then it is a gift and you do not have to pay it back.
