    Angel Hair Pasta with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

    Preparation Time: 20 minutes

    Ingredients

    4 ounces angel hair pasta (capellini)

    1-1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

    1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)

    1 tablespoon margarine or butter

    1 3-ounce package cream cheese cut into cubes

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/8 teaspoon pepper

    1/3 cup milk

    2 tablespoons snipped chives

    Directions

    1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

    2. Meanwhile, for sauce, in a medium saucepan cook the mushrooms and onion in the margarine or butter until vegetables are tender. Stir in cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Gradually stir in milk and chives; heat through.

    3. Pour sauce over pasta. Toss to coat. Serve immediately. Makes four side-dish servings.

    Angel hair pasta with garlic shrimp. Cook pasta as directed on box. Cook two pounds of deveined medium to large shrimp in a pan with one half stick of butter, virgin olive oil one table spoon and half clove of fresh garlic. Simmer garlic dont burn in the pan unitl tranparent and with the shrimp and butter and olive oill. Poor mixer over hot pasta. For garlic lovers ultimite experience use garlic angel hair pasta. Serve with a nice cold glass of white wine!
