how come americans take their SAT's test at an older age than british?

you might think im obsessed with american education. but i know that it is very different to the british way of education. british people take there SAT's in years 2, 6 and 9. then it is the GCSE's. for some reason i thik that being an american student is far more easier than being a british student.

its just a wild guess but i think the united states applies either more grade levels (years) into primary and secondary education... its either that or the age requirement for a kid's first day of school could be lower in g.b.

just thinking aloud... but hey, it is an answer. :D

i think that people in Britian go to school more than american students, it probably is easier to be a student in Britian, but people in Britian seem to be smarter
