Does anyone else seem to get IM's from disgruntled people who don't agree with your answers?

It doesn't bother me, because, after all, this is America..I just find it a bit hilarious! :)

Update:

Why hide my address? It doesn't bother me, I just think it's funny.

I have yet to be contacted directly from a member with regard to them disagreeing with one or more of my answers. Of course I don't use IM that often though (e.g. it's not running all the time). I have, however, received several nice emails from people thanking me for an answer. That's why I put my email in my profile here. I mean it's nice to know that someone would go out of their way to thank oneself directly like that. More people should do it in my opinion!

I haven't received anything yet... but that doesn't mean anything. My e-mail address and Yahoo! i.d. has been sold and re-sold to so many different spammers, I'll have a bulk folder filled with over 400 messages every day, and I empty it first thing in the morning when I check my mail! And occasionally I get unsolicited conversation boxes from Messenger. But I haven't received anything negative from an Answers user... yet.

Well, I don't put my ID in the nickname, however, I put my email few times only. but I guess if I put it into the nickname, I will not just recieve IM's, but might be also threats. )X yes ... so better to hide in this globe, unless it is not so important email or ID. Yahoo has bugs in their messenger which allow some to mass boot you from messenger and also mass report you as abuser. I don't recommend using your direct and important email ID.

I have not gotten any IM's from anyone, but I have also not caused anyone any reason to be disgruntled... that I know of.

Browneyedmaiden, that is abusive behavior, and we don't tolerate it. Please let us know who's IM-ing you, and what they're saying, via the "Tell us what you think" link at the bottom of any page. If you've retained logs of the IM chats, those would be very important.
