Are Turkey and Peacock Birds?

Peacock can fly upto some height. Turkey cannot. How you classify both?

    They are both birds. They have all the necessary characteristics: 2 wings, 2 legs, hollow bones, feathers. It's not necessary for an animal to fly to be classified as a bird. Besides, turkeys and peacocks can fly - just not very high or far.

    Hah! Discovery channel should put a documentary on that! Yeah, they're birds alright. Birds from the feet all the way up to those brains.

    yeah...they're birds...showy birds...Chickens can't fly and they're birds.
