A raw potato is not poisonous
However, if a potato is exposed to light, it takes on a green coloration - which in itself is poisonous in large quantities. You want to make sure the taters are stored out of direct sunlight in a cool place.

I hope its not poisonous, I ate thousands of raw potatoes as a child. No, of course they're not poisonous.
Cut them in strips, and try adding a little salt. They're very addicting.
