Why is it that Yahoo hardly ever gives the correct number of answers in its display?.?
Very often the display says '0 answers' and when you go answer, expectant to be the 1st of them all, there are already quite a few.

It can take up to five minutes for the number of answers on the main page to be updated from the database. It actually helps to keep the site running more quickly than if the database had to check the number of answers for all the questions everytime someone loads a page.

I was asking myself the same thing. Maybe it has to with refreshing. There are so many people here at the same time answering in an, oh, so disorderded fashion, that the counters just go crazy !!!
That's why is called a BETA, though. They haven't figured everything out.

Because Yahoo hardly gives the correct anything in all aspects.... including customer service.
