Your best bet is to spend that money on a painting by a relatively unknown but original artist. It will cost about the same but potentially be worth much more in the long run. Oil painting copies of masterworks are cool at first, but they really arent worth anything and are pretty much just fancy versions of posters. I'd even prefer that you commissioned a copy of a famous work from a real artist rather than buy from a shop that only does copies. At least then you're really supporting artists still, instead of 99% of the money going to the store and some poor immigrant getting $5 for his painstaking copy.

i'm getting what you're sayin', and that i think of, to an volume, it has. those with a organic born expertise for particular or countless paintings varieties can nonetheless create a masterpiece from no longer something. yet i think of because of the fact there is maximum of fads those days, that paintings usually circumstances will become one. If somebody without organic features desires to paint, they take a portray one hundred and one type and learn the basics to create somethin' that would or will possibly no longer appear as if it took the comparable attempt that a committed artist might positioned into it. it is to no longer say that each single guy or woman would not have the possibility to partake in any artist interest they have an interest in, and each so often those with 0 journey can test and are available up with something merely as eye-catching and/or inspiring as somebody this would be a veteran at that distinctive medium... I jus' think of it may get confusing for people who've executed what they do for an prolonged time to ensure "novices" create something comparable with extra recent techniques or "dumbed down" strategies.
