iPods don't kill hearing, people kill hearing.
No, seriously, it's all about maintaining reasonable volumes. If someone standing a few feet away can hear your music while it's playing through your iPod headphones, it's probably too loud.

any earphone can if its loud enough. ipods can get real loud. i find when i use portable music players (my ipod or my walkman) if the volume is too high up i cant hear to well for a few days. but if i keep it on a low setting, in a few hours my ears get used to it and my hearing gets better.

Yes they do if you listen to your music too loud, but than again if the music is too loud any headphones do.

If you listen to them to loud, yes they do, but if your smart and dont blare it 24/7 you'll be fine

as long as you keep the volume at a reasonable level it shouldnt damage your hearing.
