What exactly is Vonage?

Does anyone here have Vonage? How does it work? Is it a good service?

    vonage is a telphone company that provides phone service over VoIP "WHICH MEAN VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL" and it is required that you have a broadband internet provider to have vonage unlike traditional phone companies because vonage work through the internet con your computer so if your internet is down or goes out your phone will go out and if there is no electricity in your home due to an outage or something you may not have phone service.     Vonage is a broadband phone company and its awesome..you can use a cable internet connection for your phone service....awesome idea huh?..I think so ...

    i have it. it works for me....but i had to open ports on my firewall.
