Does anyone wake up and experience temporary amnesia?

I sometimes will wake up from a deep sleep and have no idea who I am, where I am, etc. Anybody else?

Yeah ,,,,but mine is by choice...lol

Seriously,,,I've only done it a few times and it only lasted about a minute....

My Buddy however,,,,use to do it all the time and as it turned out,,,,He had some major health issues going on that I wont get into cause I dont wanna scare the meat balls off of you.....

Hell,,,,my advice is to just enjoy it,,,,there's nothing wrong with forgetting about everything for a moment or so.lol

I just read an article about this. The University of Colorado did a study of nine healthy people that found that severe sleep "inertia" impaired short-term memory and ability to problem-solve and lasted up to 10 minutes and that you may as well be legally drunk. The effects were worse than being deprived of sleep for 26 hours.
