What would you do if you saw someone litter?

We used to carpool with this very strict german mother in high school and she would lay on the horn if she saw someone throw something out of a car window, haha...but they would often slam on the brakes. They truly didn't know why she was honking I don't think. Some people just don't get it and you can't change them, sigh.

A resentment is letting someone (the litterer) live rent free in your head.

I hate that, too. I have OCD, so it makes me very angry and nervous when people leave fast food wrappers or trash out in public. It's not only nasty, but it's unhealthy. I have caught people on a few occasions. Even though I am a big dude, I still don't say anything to people. I guess the truth is that I am afraid. Some people carry guns these days. It's better to be safe. I would clean up the trash myself, but I have a phobia about handling trash- especially other people's trash. Pisses me off.

Me personally never littered in my life because i was taught that if you littered that you are hurting the area your living around and I would never let anybody hurt the area I'm living around so i would go to the nearest store and tell the clerk and they will tell a police officer

Living in New York, if I made a stink every time I saw someone litter I wouldn't have time to do anything else.

If I see somebody litter, I just pick it up and throw it into the nearest trash can

I have walked up right in front of people and picked up their cigarette butts or wrapper or whatever and thrown it in the trash. I figure it makes enough of a statement... if the trash can is near ;-)

Someone Littering

IN THE US, I WOULD ASK THEM POLITELY TO PICK IT UP AND TOSS IT IN THE TRASH CAN, (AS LONG AS I HAD ON MY ANTI STAB VEST).

IN THE UK, I WOULD DO THE SAME, BUT WITHOUT THE ANTI STAB VEST.

IN IRAQ, I WOULD MOST LIKELY RUN LIKE HELL IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, AN ANTI STAB VEST IS NO MATCH FOR A GRENADE.

I would say ........excuse me ,is this yours ?and if they say yes than say.......please don't litter ,you are being unfriendly to the environment.
