the info was saved in the phone rather than the sim. there's 3 ways to transfer the info
1) manually enter all info into new phone (long way)
2) put sim back in old phone and save all to sim put back into new phone and COPY all to the new phones memory(semi long way as it can take a little to figure it out and not all will transfer)
3: take it to the company owned retail store and ask them if they have the machine to transfer it all for you (quickest and easiest way)

the information probably was not saved to the sim card. Therefor it is still in the memory of the old phone. Put the sim card back into the old phone. Go to your phone numbers. Go to options then scroll down until you find select all. It will give you a few different options form there. Hit the save to sim card. Put the card back into the new phone and check to see if the info is there.
Good luck!
Source(s): Photos usually do not save on the sim card. So you will have to email them to your computer and then resend them to your phone. - 2 decades ago
It seems that the info(like phone numbers etc) is stored int he phone memory of your old cellphone. Try to transfer it into your sim card and then use the sim in ur new phone. You can then see all the info.
Hope this helps

Of cos, different brands differs in their input of devices. You can bring your new cellphone to the company you bought it and ask them to transfer certain info from your former cellphone to the new ones like the bulks of your friends' names and numbers and also the messages and etc. Some cellphones are able to accept the transfers.
