Why do some questions get removed before getting resolved?

Is there some benefit to the asker to remove the question?

Does Yahoo remove them?

Update:

OK, let me clarify, I answer a qustion and then all of a sudden it says question has been removed

    I had a question on there for about 3 days and no one answered it, so I took the question off. Maybe that is one of the reasons. Hope this helps.
