Ones that people put thought into. If I want a cut and paste answer then I'll go to a search engine and look it up myself.... I'm not that lazy.

Well depends on the question. Few questions like I'm unable to logon to yahoo today. U will find more or less the same answer for this question. You will get this question about 5-10 times a day on yahoo answers. This is a service problem. So if you have already answered it, copy paste.

Questions like, how do add picture to your profile etc., for which there are ready made answers, doesnt make sense you sit and type them out, when you can copy paste the link or the procedure.

But for questions like where you got to think a bit, you need to make an effort in typing out stuff. For example:- My internet connection is fine, I am able to logon to all the messengers. But my internet explorer is not working. I get a message page cannot be displayed. In this situation, you need to give a solution based on the input the user has given you. You just cant copy paste the same answer for all the questions with internet explorer page not displayed.

I usually pick for a best answer someone who puts some though in an answer. Cut and paste should only be used to prove a point but even then some of the links are highly bias.

THOUGHT.I do cut and paste for some answers because there are so many of the same questions. Example: What is your favorite book?

OF COURSE IT WILL BE THE SAME ANSWER! Should I retype the same thing or should I just copy it from an old answer? Cut and paste, saves time on the questions that are repeated over, over, and over again…

But what about the questions? There are a lot of thoughtless questions. In fact I could call this a thoughtless question…

But hey, I forgive you! Thanks for the 2pts!

    Depends on the question.

If it is facts and truths you are looking for, the copy and paste is fine, especially if they leave a link.

If it is an opinion requested, then a well thought out reply is needed. Sometimes backing this up with some facts helps too.

I've yet to give a cut 'n' paste answer for anything, but maybe that's because i'm really opinionated and would rather talk about what I think anyway!

I would choose the original answer; cut-and-paste really annoys me, especially when one person uses the same answer over and over for different questions.

Putting some thought in, unless they want statistical facts, then copy and paste is best (with a source)

    I like the handmade answers-

but there are so many of the exact same question

that I've sure been tempted to paste my same answer again.
