the constitution. the constitution is a contract that describes the restrictions on politicians' powers, thats why they had to sign it. the patriot act is a strategic guideline against terrirism. its also an act of treason in the context of the constitution.

Which part of the Patriot Act alters the Constitution,as far as I know only amendments can be passed and made into law by congress and the president, most people living in US don't even know about the constitution or what it represents, yet talk like they wrote it thenselves,it would help a lot if they would investigate what they are talking about rather than just come out without knowing.

There is no conflict. The patriot act is one of thousands of acts that the congress has passed and the president has signed into law. The patriot act alters nothing in the US constitution (It cannot, such a change would require an admendment). Only people pushing a political agenda can seriously suggest that the Patriot act alters the constitution.

The Constitution...always. Laws have to conform to the basic tenets of the Constitution via judicial review. If there are parts of the PA that are un-Constitutional, they should be struck down by the Federal courts. The only thing that could change that is an amendment to the Constitution which must then be ratified by the states.

The Patriot Act, unless someone takes it to the Supreme Court where parts of it could be ruled unconstitutional.
